The Cherry Blossom Festival

The Cherry Blossom Festival is always a huge time of year. It’s been kind of a bummer this year with all this crazy weather here in D.C. The Cherry Blossoms where thrown all out of whack because of some of the freezing, but I put together some of my favorite shots from a year or so ago of the Cherry Blossom Festival.

If you have never gotten to see it, it really is something to check out. It adds a whole new look when you walk around the National Mall area. My favorite spot was walking around the Jefferson Memorial, right next to the water there was such an awesome spot to relax.

I strongly encourage you to check this out if you every get the chance. You can always follow Facebook groups and even some D.C. area news outlets to catch when the predicted peak bloom will be to make sure you really get the full experience. I had never attended it or drove into the city during the bloom but once I did I knew I wanted to go back and do it again.

Enjoy.
