Great Falls Virginia
This time for The Adventure Series, we took a little trip over to the park in Great Falls, VA. We eventually decided to go over to the Maryland side of the park because we heard it was a little less “touristy.” A couple of the trails that lead to overlooks were not open to walk, which was a bit of a bummer, but we went with it and roamed around the other trails. We ended up walking a couple miles on some other trails and saw some cool stuff!
It does cost $10 to get into the park, but you can borrow bikes they have there and ride all up and down the canal! You can also ride the boat you will see in the images all down the canal as well. Which some of the time the boat will be pulled by donkey’s! There was live music, which I don’t know if that was just that day or a normal thing for the park.
It was pretty relaxing to get out and walk around nature for awhile. Nature and Northern Virginia/DC grind are likely not two things you associate but there are some great places like this to get it. If you are ever in the area traveling through, or even if you live here, it’s definitely some place to check out! Hope you enjoy a few pics below! Until next time, peace.
