Guten Tag, Everyone!
Recently returned from a quick trip across the pond to Germany! This was my first time out of the country so it was quite the adventure! It went very smoothly honestly, mostly because of my travel buddy (my wife) getting everything set up and scheduled but the trip part was cake! It was only my second time on a plane so it was an experience being on one for 8 hours, haha. Jet lag is a pain I might add, haha! Also, I typically run a little hot but damn on the way back they had the A/C set on "freezer status" I'm almost positive. Actually, entirely positive because it took me a week or so to get over the resulting cold..
Anyway, we went there to celebrate her grandfather's 80th birthday! Here comes the coolest part about the party -- he had it next to an actual castle that was built in the 16th Century! Only since we came back have I realized this place is like a hidden gem and just recently reopened after some pretty large renovations. Reason being is, not only is it a crazy old castle, but this castle also has a motorcycle museum in it. Apparently it's one of the largest historical motorcycle museums from what I have read. If you're interested in learning of old castles and history like myself, look it up! Augustusburg Castle.
Needless to say, I was pumped to walk around and to go through this place while getting to see all the history and listen to the stories from her family about bikes they had many years ago and how they remembered a lot of these models coming out. I was actually surprised at just how much they had in this place. Around every corner was rows of motorcycles and displays. We went through it pretty slow, which you almost have to because you might miss something.
Now that I've gone and experienced that one, I'm super excited to go back and hopefully explore more castles in the area! For now though, I've put some of my favorite photos from the adventure below. Check them out and let me know what you think!
Hope you enjoyed these shots! Like I said, these are just a few of my favorites, you can see more images from the trip by clicking the link below! Once you've clicked, check them out and stay awhile! Hang with me on M81 Media's social outlets and join the conversation! Hope to see you there.
